
Dragon’s Blood (Sangre de Grado or Sangre de Drago) is a red latex that comes from a tree in the Peruvian Amazon which became famous due to its high content of alkaloid taspina and an oligomeric proanthocyanidine (SP-303). Dragon’s Blood is rich in secondary metabolites like other alkaloids, phenols, sterols, lignans and other phenolic compounds.
Dragon’s Blood is an excellent natural cicatrisation agent recommended for the treatment of ulcers (intestine, stomach and mouth), gastritis and external injuries that has antibacterial and antiviral effect, too. It is also used as vaginal antiseptic.
Several scientific studies in different countries have proved the cicatrisation properties of Dragon’s Blood, as well as its anti-ulcer effect.
